Dr. Kelly Griffis
Dr. Griffis has over 20 years of experience in Education as a program coordinator, department head, and assistant principal! Her dissertation research on teacher collaboration and student achievement provides her with a unique perspective in the field of education. Dr. Griffis enjoys watching Florida State football games, camping with her family, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Social Studies Teacher
Jonathan is a graduate of the University of Washington in Seattle, where he earned a Bachelors in History. He has been teaching for 10 years in both public and private high schools. Jonathan has been married to his lovely wife Samantha for 14 years and has 4 kids. He enjoys reading, writing, hiking, good music and all things JRR Tolkien.
Special Ed. Teacher
Tabitha has taught special education for thirteen years in both Georgia and South Carolina. She is a graduate of Emmanuel College and received her Master’s in Special Education from Kaplan University. Tabitha has 3 beautiful daughters with her husband Derrick. They enjoy spending time together, bowling, and enjoying their favorite fall activities.
Lindsey has been teaching English for 14 years in the state of South Carolina. Lindsey and her husband, Ashley, live in Lexington with their 3 sons. She enjoys taking family trips, watching the Gamecocks and being outdoors.
Rhonda earned her Bachelors in Spanish from Augusta University and her Master’s in Teaching Foreign Language and English to Speakers of other languages from Valdosta State. She enjoys camping in the mountains and at the beach with her family and 2 fur babies.
High School Math
Mariel Cooper is a science and mathematics graduate of Presbyterian College and received her Master’s in STEAM education from Clemson University. This is her 7th year in education. Mariel and her husband love spending time with their 3 dogs and enjoy patrolling for sea turtles every summer on Harbor Island.
Career and Tech Edu. Teacher
Lisa comes to SC Prep from Georgia! She began teaching in 1994 with Gwinnett County Public Schools. Lisa earned her Master's in Education from the University of Georgia. She has been working and teaching in the online school environment since 2015. She loves teaching Career and Technical Education courses because they offer students a wonderful opportunity to learn about themselves and the world and realize new interests and hidden talents.These courses also help students develop important skills that will help them achieve success in every aspect of their lives. Lisa and her husband enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, and watching football.
Dr. Alicia Kelley
ELA 11th Grade
Alicia has been involved in education for 8 years teaching 7th grade up through higher ed. She loves all things literacy-related. Alicia, her husband, Brendan, and their daughter, Audrey Grace, live in Easley, SC. They love to hike, kayak, and be outside. They also love sci-fi. When she gets alone time, she likes to grab a coffee and take a walk or sit down with a good book.
Middle School Math Teacher
Kara graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor’s in business administration, before finding her true calling in teaching. She completed her post-baccalaureate at the University of North Georgia with a focus in Mathematics and Special Education. Kara enjoys spending time with her husband Brian, their 2 daughters and 1 son, and their Yorkshire terrier puppy.
Tasha has an extensive educational background in higher education and online programs directing. She has 2 undergraduate degrees from Coker University, a Master’s from Francis Marion, and she is currently working on her Doctorate at the University of South Carolina. Tasha lives in Rock Hill with her husband and their 2 daughters. They love Star Wars, Disney and Harry Potter.
ELA for 9th and 10th Grade
Alison comes to SC Prep from Florida! This is her 13th year of teaching and 10th as an online teacher. Mrs. Wright and her husband have 2 little girls and enjoy traveling, cooking, and spending time together.
